Eternal Life
(John 3:16)
Don’t you see, oh don’t you see
What He did for you, what he did for me
He died for you, and He died for me
To take our sin, and make us free
Oh the bridge He placed
Between God and me, It’ll last forever an eternity
If we look to the Son and believe in Him
If we yield to His knock at our door
If we keep our faith and our love for Him
He will give us the gift that he suffered for
By the tears that He cried and the blood He shed
And the promising words that He spoke
We’ll inherit the kingdom of heaven
And receive eternal life
Don’t you see, oh don’t you see
How He feels for you, how he feels for me
He loves you, and He loves me
You ask, “How can you tell?”
I answer, “ By the blood-stained tree”
He died for you and, and he died for me
A perfect sacrifice He came to be
Your face upon Hid weary Heat and soul
The weight of our sins that He carried
Now makes is whole
