Potters Clay

(Jeremiah 18:1-6)

All He needs is a simple piece of clay

To set upon His wheel and have His way

He molds it with a purpose. He shapes it with His plan

As He guides it with His strong and mighty hand

As He guides it with His strong and mighty hand

Like the clay in the hands of the potter

Would you the clay ask the potter?

What are you making?

Would you question why He gently puts you back upon His rock?

Because He starts with the vision, and He won’t stop until completion.

He sees you for the wonder that you are

We sometimes find our vessels chipped and cracked

The things we use to cherish, now we seem to lack

So the potter picks up His creation, its suddenly restored

And it’s back upon the narrow shelf once more

And it’s back upon the narrow shelf of life once more

Like the clay in the hand of the potter

He sees you for the wonder that you are

He knows you for the wonder that you are

He sees you for the beauty that you are

He knows you for the beauty that you are

Like the clay, in that hands of the potter

So are you in His hands.
