The Best Days (of our lives)

(1Cor. 13:4-8)

I know that true love is patient

But my patience has been tried since you’ve been gone

Anticipating means of communication

In hope to hear your voice before to long

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder

But my heart reveals a void deep inside

And the thought of you my mind begins to wonder

Onto a picture that portrays the test of time

And I love you more then ever, every day that passes by

And I know will be together for the rest our lives

I love you more then ever, and no matter where you go

We will travel there together

Through ever bend and ever road

Saying these are the best days

These have been the best days

We have shared the best days, of our lives

I long to share these precious times together

To be a part of just another step in life

But from our separate worlds we’ll send each other letters

Writing memories between the narrow faded lines

There are times when darkness tries to pull me under

But the Son returns to brighten up the sky

And when the rain of doubt pours in the clouds of thunder

My faith provides a shield to keep me dry

And I love you more then ever, every day that passes by

And I know will be together for the rest our lives

I love you more then ever, and no matter where you go

We will travel there together

Through ever bend and ever road

Just before the road of life has come to an end

We will sit beside each other hand in hand

Being thankful for the memories that we’ve shared

Saying these have been the best days

We have seen the best days
